When you use the Settl Tenant Readiness Platform, we may collect the following information:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Employment and income information
- Rental history
- Identity verification documents (processed by Didit)
- Payment information (processed by Square — we do not store card numbers)
- Usage data and analytics (collected via PostHog, only with your consent)
2. How we use your information
- To evaluate your rental application and calculate your Settl Score
- To communicate application status updates via email and SMS
- To verify your identity as required by our rental process
- To improve our platform and services
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog for analytics to understand how applicants use our platform. Analytics cookies are only set with your explicit consent via the cookie consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by refreshing the page and declining. We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Data sharing
We share your data with the following third parties:
- Didit — identity verification (KYC processing)
- Square — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Twilio — SMS notifications
- Supabase — secure database storage
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Data retention
We retain your application data for up to 24 months after your application is resolved. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at privacy@settlhome.com.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled. Identity documents are processed by Didit and not stored on our servers.
7. Your rights
